This website was created to manage the initiative related to the 'calls for proposals' announced by the RTD&D Commission of EU on Adventure action line of " New and Emerging Science and Technology " ( call reference number/identifier : FP6-2003-NEST-A - please refer to http://www.cordis.lu/fp6/nest.htm )

We received a little grant from the Polish Committee for Scientific Research, which aims to support the endeavors to elaborate a proposal for 6th FP of the EU RTD&D Commission.

We decided to consider also a possibility of elaboration of the proposal for the call published on 27 February 2003 on " New and Emerging Science and Technology " - for action line ADVENTURE projects ( call reference number/identifier : FP6-2003-NEST-A ).

" .. ADVENTURE projects should address very challenging objectives in a novel and adventurous way to develop new scientific understanding and technological capabilities. They should use unconventional and innovative approaches, bringing together teams of researchers with different areas of expertise. Researchers will be expected to show strong personal commitment to their projects, appropriate to the high potential rewards expected... ADVENTURE projects must be of truly excellent scientific quality, and have well-defined objectives. In principle, ADVENTURE projects may be undertaken in any research field, with the expectation that in many cases, they will be multidisciplinary. ADVENTURE projects will generally be implemented as 'specific targeted research projects'..."

The commission foresee for the mentioned type of proposals so called STREP instrument (specific targeted research project or co -ordination actions). The second deadline is 22 October 2003.

Taking into account these requirements, we present just now idea suitable for an ADVENTURE projects ). So, we invite for the cooperation in the elaboration of the proposal sub title : " On line healing tool " or " Healing potential of altered states of consciousness at particular localsidereal time " .

1. W have begun the construction of the website, which will serve as a tool to communicate and gather slowly all necessary materials necessary to complete the text of the proposal.

2. The first stage could consists on the 'brain storming phase'. We will insert to the mentioned website all letters received from the members of the group completed by Vivian Linssen ( and eventual invited 'guest' also )

3. On the basis of this kind of discussion we will try to formulate: workpakage list, deliverables list, workpackage descriptions and present them in the mentioned website also. It would be useful and the work would progress quickly if interested potential partners will formulate workackages about the work, which they would like to perform.

4. When the website will contain almost all necessary documents some final steps necessary to the elaboration of the proposal can be accomplished also by any partner, who would like to take the role of the general coordinator.

The presented methodology of the elaboration of the proposal will be possible when the objectives , final goal and the outline of necessary work aiming to the fixed goal of the project will be presented in more details.

I concentrate first on the draft of the proposal for the first proposed subject named here by 'entry' ( watchwords ): "On line

The ultimate goal of the project could be the elaboration of an on line tool ( website ) accessible in the future for everybody, who has the need to be supported by combined means of psychological, social, philosophical, cultural advices, psychotherapy and appropriate healing methods intensified by geophysical influences. This on line tools should facilitate the utilization of any proved, non - pharmacological treatment method. Of course the on-line tool will support mainly in the settlement of indications for suitable activities, which should be performed by the person who became to feel bad, sometime with the aid of other people. Anyhow it will be the universal, non - pharmacological treatment tool.

There are rational arguments that this kind of an on line tool can be constructed. Health is determined mainly by the state of psyche. Bad psychological condition is caused usually by very particular personal psychological dilemma. Of cause the traumatic dilemma is conditioned usually by negative social and cultural circumstances. The recovery usually requires the restructure of the interpersonal relations, usually also the elimination of ' toxic elements ' of the ' personal world '. Addictions, drug abuse, alcoholism should be considered through the same perspectives. This holistic, pathogenic model of bed feeling and diseases is recognized by multiple schools of psychopathology and psychotherapy. However academic clinical psychology usually does not combine psychotherapy with different healing methods. Physicians, psychologists, ' ideological counselors ', even healers don't recognize geophysical influences, however it was done formerly by shamans. Shortly nobody try to combine all existing healing forces, despite the emerging intuition that after the identification of personal dilemma the strong impulse and incitement is necessary to re - modulate the immunological, nervous and endocrine systems. The altered states of consciousness can sign remarkable changes of set-points of these natural defensive systems.

So, it seems that the rational for the construction of an on-line healing tool exists. However much of investigations, verifications of existing elements are necessary first. Afterwards the effective, universal, non - pharmacological treatment tool could be composed.

It seems that the way to build this tool should undergo following subsequent steps:

1. Elaboration of standardized medical, psychological interview
2. Identification of typical social, family, psychological dilemmas
3. Elaboration of data base on typical advices

The elaboration of this module is a challenge for international scientist community, especially for the group of researchers gathered under the entry of " NewPOL-The Physics of Life and the Neuroimmunoendocrine System: an integrated understanding of diseases and healing potential in the human being explored using novel approaches to therapy "

Certainly there are among members of this group people, who are acquainted or conduct even research on novel treatment methods. So, anybody who knows the effective healing method, especially, which was or can be verified experimentally could joint our initiative.

The plan of the implementation of such particular healing method to our " general on line healing tool " should be presented in the form of so called workpackage. The work to be done should consist partly on effective description of the way of the application of the treatment methods, with any information enabling its real, immediate application.

The explanation of the concept of the healing methods, which are needed and useful for the goal of the project can be probably exemplified by such approaches as :

The work upon the " healing module - guide for altered state of consciousness " certainly could be characterized by much of novelty, however we realize that there are already thousands of less or more verified propositions, even in the Web. The module is however indispensable for the construction of the discussed tool.

The novel on - line healing tool can be proposed because we believe that the unifying healing factors are some special geophysical influences.

We are convinced that any healing procedure ( séances ) must be first prepared ( by confrontation with identified traumatic dilemma as well by modification of interpersonal relations, usually also by elimination of ' toxic elements ' of the ' personal world ' ) but after the mentioned strong impulse ( incitement ) is necessary, which can change set points of physiological defensive systems. This incitement can be intensified by particular geophysical influences.

Just now, yet before the performance of the project it is possible to enumerate phenomena, which can be utilized to augment and accelerate this impulse :

Here again, the elaboration of the " healing module - guide for altered state of consciousness " constitute the challenge for novel interdisciplinary research because much of believed phenomena should be scientifically verified.

The objectives of the projects should consists on clarification of concepts and ideas related to healing practices know from popular literature and taken into account by many people. Most of these healing practices are not verified by objective, scientific measurements.
Many concepts of healing methods are related to geophysical influences. It is possible to demonstrate the need to verify such concepts by quotations of some statements taken from Internet websites. The realization of the project named here by the entry : " Healing potential of altered states of consciousness at particular local sidereal time " can have really an important ' societal impact ' if we will remark the metaphor that the notion of the disease can be transferred to the level of the society. We can speak about diseases of societies.

Anybody will admit that some societies ( like nazi or communist regimes ) suffered by a kind of ' diseases '. There are many examples of different kind of ' societal diseases '. Sometime it can be rather the ' economic disease ' like in Argentina or the prevalence of the religious fundamentalism. It is possible to ' cure ' sometime the population from those ' diseases '. The careful reflection leads to the conclusion that these societal diseases are related also to the altered state of consciousness. The fundamentalism ( and derivate terrorism ) certainly consists on altered state of consciousness.

Being invited to the conference aiming to the organization of so called Network of Excellence based on the European Pluralism Project ( religious pluralism ), I presented the idea that : "... spirituality should supply people in three aspects :

(1) The state of psyche should be appropriate for the good feeling and health. [ A particular religion/ spiritual pattern influences less or more the self-esteem ( well being ) through allocation of the meaning to ' personal life and the world ' and therefore influences also health ]

(2) Human spiritual and psychological conditions should be good for 'peace among nations' or for the peaceful coexistence of multiple identities [ a particular religion/ spiritual pattern has less or more of ecumenist attitude therefore determines relations
with others ]

(3) Spirit of people should enhance the pro - life attitude, the will to have children (reinforce the trend to the reproduction of the population ) [a particular religion/ spiritual pattern influences anthropological youth-elderly factor ( energy, power ) of a population,which can be on the average ' very tired ' )..."

Till now we discussed here the first practical aspect of the state of psyche, it means the most personal - ( good feeling and health ). People responsible or considering the societal phenomena ( public health, social well being, peaceful coexistence ) should take into account two other, mentioned consequences of the disequilibrated state of mind.

Therefore people who feel responsible for the state of society should continue endeavors in the following domains:

(1) Trials of the ' distillation of characteristics ' of the existing, widespread multiple 'spiritual patterns', these one which induce the positive, enthusiastic thinking, allocating the meaning to the human live, supporting the good feeling and health.

(2) Trials of the adjustments of different theological concept to build ' the syncretic vision of Everything ', which could reconcile the competitive, often fighting points of view of the outlook of the Universe. The methodology probably should be based on the 'philosophy of nature'

(3) Trials of modification of actual 'spiritual pattern' of people living in Europe, which determine contemporary demographic situation. It is very known that Europe is threatened by depopulation. To prevent the demographic catastrophe, it is necessary to implement another 'cultural and spiritual pattern'.

Looking from the presented perspective on the most difficult problems of contemporary societies ( fundamentalism, terrorism, wars, cross culture fights, unemployment, poverty ) -- the solutions proposed during the serious and sincere discussion among people sensitive for those societal problems (*) consists on such projects as the ( 1 ) obligatory implementation ( by UN resolutions ? ) of lessons on psychology ? or metaphysics to any secondary ( elements already to primary ? ) schools.

Anyhow the trials of modification of the average, most widespread attitudes, which determines the real, actual trends of societies indispensable ' must go ' through changes of ' average, most widespread ' models ( imaginations,' pictures' , outlook of life and the world, 'life philosophy' ). So, as on the level on personal treatment ( healing ) process we have the same task of the effective conditions to 'change the mind ' , to change the self-esteem, to change the attitudes, but multiplied by the number of the members of the population.

Some ' ideological ' leaders , probably intuitively know that that the reinforcement of the attitudes required ( by them ) needs the mass meetings and mass media tools. Probably the quantum physics phenomenon of simultaneous entanglement is acting then.

The above consideration enable to formulate the indications for the construction of the societal impact module of our ' practical on - line tool healing persons and chosen subpopulations. It seems that this module should be constructed on the principle of ' distant teaching ', accessible for everybody. It is obvious that in fact people don't like to learn and change their beliefs. It is not ... the entertainment !

It happens sometime however that people have hunger of the particular information or skills. It is again a challenge for the scientific community to invent the ' appropriate circumstances ' facilitating the modification of the ' malicious' , 'sick' , suicidal attitudes of most of the members of a particular society.

These rules for ' appropriate circumstances ' will indicate how to construct the societal impact module.

Just now, yet before the performance of the work, foreseen by the project, we can state only that the work on this module should consist on the same rule as the work on modules foreseen to support the treatment of particular unique person.

The module will supply the advices for people, who are sensitive or responsive for right development of societal processes ( governments, institutes, ministers , experts ) as in the case of the ' therapeutist ', who is leading the treatment of a patient.

The advice that the deliberations, consultations, secret sessions, conferences, presentations of announcement and meeting of the appropriate councils should be organized at 12 -14.30 o'clock of the local sidereal time could be receive as almost a joke, however the rational for it should be verified.

The work upon the discussed ' societal module ' could involve also much of novelty into the project. Here again, the elaboration of this module constitute the challenge for novel interdisciplinary research because much of our theses should be scientifically verified .

In this point we are waiting also for propositions, which could develop the presented idea of the ' societal module ' .

It is obvious that the healing procedure must be conducted by a person ( the therapeutist ) - only sometime can be self applicable.

On -line healing tool ( personal or societal ) will constitute the frame indicating the appropriate actions.

Anyhow one of the partners of the consortium should build the professional ' software platform ' , which will aid to any interested person ( individual or public representative), who become to feel bad.

Apart of the access to the tool throug Internet, the platform should probably enable the access by mobile phones.

[ The enormous problem for the plan of our project is ... the language, the problem of understanding of messages of the planned tool. There are probably only two possiblem solutions:

(1) translation of all content of on-line tool for any European languages
or (2) incorporation of effecting ' machine translation tools'. ]

What is very important ! Any participant ( partner ) of our project can immediately indicate ( or elaborate and indicate ) his websites, which contribute to the subject of the project. It will constitute immediately the part of the ' on line healing network - under construction '.

     Results for the evaluation by EU RTD&D Commission and the problem of the dissemination of   achievements.

    The timetable of the performance of the project will foresee the organization of the series of workshops. Probably the appropriate rule for the invitations to the workshops should be the fact that the institution ( person ) elaborated his particular workpackage, which will be realized by him.
    Probably the appropriate presentation of result of endeavors will be the publication of two volumes of classic, paper book sub title -- ' of the project ' . First volume should encompass the formulation of workpackages. The second volume will present the acquired findings and descriptions of the constructed tool. These book should be the final result facilitating the final evaluation of the performance of the project.
