9th INTERNATIONAL STAFF TRAINING WEEK in Nysa, 18-22.05.2020
"Innovative approaches to multicultural teaching
and international student`s services”
On 18-22.05.2020 the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa is organising the 9th International Staff Training Week for the academic and administration staff members. Besides the official meetings, the host University will provide a considerable range of integration and cultural activities.
The objective of the 9th ISTW is:
- to share information and best practices on the cooperation within the Erasmus + Programme
- to participate in the session "Innovative approaches to multicultural teaching and international student`s services”
- to participate in minimum 1 and maximum 2 of the three workshops (selective) dealing with the above mentioned topic in the following aspects:
- A - multicultural innovative teaching without and with IT tools usage
- B - international students administration services including security
- C - How to write scientific articles in English? (Limited number of participants, max 10; English language requirement: minimum B2)
- to encourage other partner institutions, Erasmus+ students at the UAS in Nysa and Polish students to study at partner universities participating in the ISTW
- to meet people representing your area of expertise at the UAS in Nysa or partner institutions and to discuss the existing cooperation, share 'best practices' as well as to share upcoming events information among the participants
- to participate in meetings at departments in order to strengthen the cooperation between staff and students in terms of future projects and programmes
Additional activities during the event:
- Lectures for the students of UAS Nysa and polish students (prior acknowledgement)
- Meetings with the Departments (on request)
- Guided tour through Nysa wanders and University facilities (Library, Innovation Centre, Conservation Centre, Practical training) (free of charge)
- Beauty Salon Session (optional) (free of charge)
- Welcome dinner (paid by participants)
- Farewell Evening Cultural programme with reception
(free of charge, covered by UAS in Nysa)
- Primary and Secondary Schools in Nysa visits (on request) (free of charge)
- Guest lectures and meetings at Departments (on request) (free of charge)
- Study tour WROCŁAW wonders including Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice and Hydropolis (paid by participants 85 EUR in cash upon arrival), (Price includes: transportation, meals &entrances to recreation areas)
Registration deadline: 06.03.2020
There is no registration fee for Erasmus+ Partner Institutions participants.
Other participants: 30 EUR (transfer till 13.03.2020)
